Tomorrow’s Hope Walk Fest 2008 will again feature “Candles of Hope.” Candles of Hope are the small white/decorated bags that circle the Jefferson High School Athletic Field track at the event. The candles will be lighted at a special ceremony at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2008.

A Candle of Hope is a way of honoring a family member or friend who has survived or succumbed to a life-limiting illness. You can purchase a Candle of Hope with a $5.00 donation to support Tomorrow’s Hope in the fight against these illnesses.

The candles burn throughout the night while the walkers pass by, reading the names of family and friends and the messages to loved ones. This is a sight you won’t want to miss!

You can purchase a Candle of Hope by downloading the Candles of Hope Order Form. Fill out the form with the name of the person you wish to honor, any message you wish to add, and your name. Mail it with your $5.00 donation to:

Please make checks payable to Tomorrow’s Hope. Fill out a form for each honored person. Requests received by mail will be prepared and decorated by volunteers. Mailed requests need to be received by June 13.

You can also buy and decorate your own Candle of Hope at participating hospitals, grocery stores, financial institutions, and beauty salons in Jefferson, Johnson Creek, and Watertown starting on June 5 until the Walk Fest.
