Hoops for Hope 2022!
Event Sponsored By
We are thrilled to be back with the 2022 Hoops for Hope after a year off due to the pandemic! The Jefferson High School Tomorrow’s Hope club and Tomorrow’s Hope, Inc. have worked closely together these past several months to make this happen. Thank you to the JHS Tomorrow’s Hope Club and our MVP Event Sponsor Edward Jones!
This year we will have the local friendly rival game “The Battle for the Paddle” Jefferson vs. Fort Atkinson Boys’ Basketball JV & Varsity games.
Except for 2021, Hoops for Hope has been an annual event held at Jefferson High School since 2015 raising funds to support the mission of Tomorrow’s Hope, Inc. With the funds raised at the 2020 event, we were able to maintain our mission through the pandemic as well as launch our Scalp Cooling Hair Retention Program for chemotherapy patients at the UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek. First, we were able to bring this newer technology to Jefferson County for the first time, offered now at the UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek. Then we were able to create a Financial Assistance Program to help chemotherapy patients afford the Scalp Cooling treatment to give HOPE in retaining their hair.
With the funds raised at this year’s Hoops for Hope, we will maintain this program at the UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek as well as expand it. Additional funds will be utilized to launch new programs at Tomorrow’s Hope focusing on Diabetes, Alzheimer’s & Dementia.
This year we will start selling Rally Towels and T-shirts (limited supply) at 5pm and through the varsity game in the Jefferson High School Commons area outside the Gymnasium. We will also have Raffles starting between 5 and 5:30pm. Concessions will be open.
We will have a exciting Flag Presentation at the beginning of the Varsity game (7pm) and some fun activities to watch during Halftime. In the Gym there will be a mascot basketball shooting competition with several local mascots participating, as well as the new Tomorrow’s Hope mascot T. Hope. Through spirit week leading up to the big game, some schools within the Jefferson School District had their own fundraising goals for Hoops for Hope, those that reach their goals will have a brave school representative getting a Pie in their Face in the commons area during halftime.
Come on out to cheer your team on while supporting a great cause!
